Which diamond shape looks the largest?
Elongated diamonds such as oval, pear and marquise shapes can appear larger from above than some round diamonds of the same carat weight. However, carat weight does not determine visible size on its own. A diamond’s measurements, proportions, depth and setting all affect how large it appears on the finger. Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds with essentially the same chemical composition, crystal structure and physical properties as natural diamonds. The principal difference is their origin: natural diamonds form in the earth, while lab-grown diamonds are produced under controlled conditions. Both can be independently graded for cut, colour, clarity and carat weight.
